Copeland worked in the corporate world as a Marketing Assistant and quickly realized that it was not fufiling her needs to create and feel independent. In late 2007, early 2008, Copeland left her corporate job to pursue starting her own business. What started as a design service company, it quickly led into so much more. She had been asked to design custom garments for various special occasions and in 2010 she had her work featured on TLC’S hit show QUINTS BY SURPRISE. After this television debut her work quickly gained attention of other celebrities as well as new clientele.
In 2013, Copeland embarked again on a new journey, where she started BENTLEY AND LACE. This new brand allowed Copeland to continue to focus on the things she loved most which is creating a luxury clothing brand that enfused her love of vintage mixed with a hint of couture. BENTLEY AND LACE has participated in several fashion shows and over the last three years she has hosted her own Style Show where she has invited other small businesses to showcase their work and invited 30-40 young girls from all across the United States to enjoy a day of confidence building, modeling workshops and to help young girls realize they are beautiful both inside and out. Copeland’s mission thorugh the years has always remained the same. Create gorgeous garments that are functional, luxurious but affordable and to continue to help build young girls up and to help them build their “confidence wings.”
