In 2009 the seeds for Opti-Cool Headgear© were planted with the creation of Kid Safety Hats, LLC. When our son was diagnosed with a severe bleeding disorder in 2008 at 10 months of age, it was recommended to us by his doctors that a helmet would be necessary to protect his head. With this recommendation, they could not tell us where we could find a protective helmet that would be sufficient for his needs. In our search for a helmet, we had a very hard time finding a soft protective helmet that would protect, provide comfort, and fit him. With this obstacle that we faced, we knew there had to be an easier way to find a helmet like this. In 2009 we created Kid Safety Hats, LLC with the intentions of making it easier for children and adults with special needs to find a soft protective helmet that fit all of their needs. From the few years of feedback, we decided to take the best qualities of each helmet that we sold and create our own. In 2012 we created Opti-Cool Headgear© to create versatile helmets for multiple uses and with great characteristics such as, extreme comfort, very lightweight, moisture wicking material, quality chin guard, stylish design, customizable, and most of all, excellent protection. We hope that by doing this we have made it easier for you to find what is most sufficient for you or your child's needs. Don't forget to protect the head!
