Scott O. Talbot is a respected international businessman, community leader and philanthropist with over 30 years of experience in strategic business development, marketing and operations. His career has focused on consistently turning underperforming assets into thriving businesses.

At the age of 18, Scott acquired a distressed Hotel in his native Australia. Within two years he established the hotel's reputation for excellence and sold it for a 400% return on his initial investment.

In 1987, Scott entered the real estate market when he established Talbot Family Homes. In the midst of a recession in Australia, Scott found buyers for his entire inventory using innovative marketing that included a rent-to-own campaign, television and print ads, and overseas outreach.

In 1992 Scott joined Central Equity Limited, a residential property developer, In 1997, Scott became the chief executive officer of the marketing subsidiary of L.J. Hooker, one of the world’s largest real estate groups. In 1999, Scott led the acquisition of Coverlids, a struggling 125-year-old real estate ?rm. Coverlids became the first Australian real estate company to offer frequent ?yer points and the ?rst to be recognized as a partner in the Star Alliance Network.

In 2000, he launched Landlords Plus, a purveyor of a unique insurance product for landlords.

In 2001, Scott arrived in New York City, acquiring various hospitality venues and entered USA politics, serving 8 Years as the Manhattan City Council, CB Six - Co-Chair of the Human Rights, Transportation and Public Safety Committees.

As a philanthropist, Scott is the only Australian ever recognized numerous times by USA elected officials for his philanthropic achievements with Proclamations from the City of New York (x2) and the Assembly, State of New York (x1) including a Civil Rights Award from the New York State Senate (x1). In addition to his business interests, Scott is a member of numerous philanthropic and civic committees.
