Hailed as the godfathers of the local indie scene, NoDevilliveDoN of North Bay, Ontario, take on the music world in their hometown with the longest playing members around. Since the days of cassette tapes, these musicians have come together time and time again to provide a memorable music experience full of intense rock and lyrics. Now they’re armed with their latest record, SR82, and their track “How the West Was Won” will be featured on WiFi PR’s Indie Anthems Vol. 3.

Award-winning Toronto-based vocalist and guitarist Teresa Hart opens her heart and soul on each and every one of her records, and her latest recording, I Want Your Fire (2013), shows a new path of soulfulness and spirited awakening that has inspired Hart’s songwriting in this leg of her career. One of these songs will also be featured on WiFi PR Group’s Indie Anthems Vol. 4.

Ska, indie and alt-rock converge to create the neo-ska feel of Space Heaters and their latest release, Helio (2013). The album demonstrates the growth of a band both together and as musicians while conveying strong viewpoints both musically and lyrically. From headlining performances right off the bat to almost immediate international fandom, Kingston, ON, metal band Sovereign Council have hit the ground running since they banded together in October 2012. Zojo Black, hailing from Alberta, Canada, is in the studio recording their much-anticipated follow-up album to their self-titled debut and is keeping it real as they let their creative process shine through. With a sound that combines blues, indie and jam rock, Zojo Black has most often been compared to Los Lobos and even Eric Clapton. Their musical influences include classic rock kingpins like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix, to name a few.

Vocalist, instrumentalist and songwriter Tone Indbryn is an accomplished folk artist with a 20-year history of solid recordings and performances under her belt and who has dedicated all of her soul and efforts to music, her true calling. While Tone may seem like a name chosen by a musician, it is this singer’s real name, given to her by her Norwegian parents—a name which just so happens to reflect an inescapable element of her personality. She is working tirelessly with her producer to record and release a full album this winter and tour her multimedia performance show.

With her hit video for her single “Free,” R&B vocalist and songwriter Tiffany Ponce has captured an audience of fans both new and die-hard with an alluring and familiar yet unique sound, resulting in thousands of views in just a short while. Tiffany calls Winnipeg, Manitoba home and has already built up a significant fan base throughout Canada and is sparking interest in the U.S. as well.
