Champion Modern Muscle® Motor Oils (CMM) are licensed by the American Petroleum Institute (API) with viscosity grades of 5W-30, 0W-40 and 5W-50. These motor oils will fit most types of modern vehicles, including high-performance turbo-charged engines, supercharged gasoline engines, and multi-valve fuel injected engines found in today's street performance automotives and trucks plus OEM "Crate Motors" that recommend an API/SN Licensed Motor Oil or that need to meet or exceed DEXOS 1:2010 (ver.1) and DEXOS 1:2015 (ver.2).

The oils meeting API CK-4 will be backwards-compatible and can be used in place of API CJ-4 oils. The lower viscosity product meeting API FA-4 will deliver improved fuel economy, but will have limited backwards-compatibility and should only be used where the manufacturer recommends API FA-4 oils.

Champion Blue Flame FA-4, & CK-4 oils will be offered in lower viscosity grades including an API 15w-40 that are designed to help maximize fuel economy with no compromise in durability. These new API licensed engine oils will have limited backwards compatibility and will be labeled as such.
