Champion Oil, a recognized leader in racing and performance lubricants, announced today that Kurt Anderson won the National Muscle Car Association (NMCA) All American National Championships in the Open Competition Class at Summit Motorsports Park, Norwalk, OH on August 26h.

"The Interstate Sprint Car Series is a regional touring Winged Sprint Car series in the Pacific Northwest", states Karl Dedolph, Director of Champion Racing and Performance Division. "A major highlight of the 2018 season will be Speedweek from August 11th to August 18th. It will feature six races in seven nights at five different race tracks".

Driving the familiar Heffner No. 27, the Central Pennsylvania regular grabbed the lead from pole sitter Brock Zearfoss on the opening lap and was up to the task on three-single file restarts, holding back 2010 Knoxville Nationals winner Tim Shaffer's last-lap charge for his second career victory at the half-mile track.

Lance Dewease, sponsored and displaying the logos of Champion Racing Oil, got better with each restart and passed Donny Schatz on lap 20 to win his 91st career feature at Williams Grove Speedway Friday night. It was his 14th World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series triumph.

Champion Oil, a recognized leader in racing and performance lubricants, will be the title sponsor of the Williams Grove Summer Nationals Open sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series this week on July 20th and 21st in Mechanicsburg, Pa.

"I got a call on Tuesday to go out there so it was last minute," said Starks. "We've been searching a bit on our cars. Last weekend was a big test session. We were trying a bunch of things. The car seemed to respond well to everything we did. It was pretty much the best-case scenario. We learned a lot and we won two races so it was a really good weekend."

"We've had a really, really good start up there this year," he said. "We've been consistently good. When you're in the hunt every night you can try little things. This weekend we had another good, solid night. Our car worked flawlessly. We're proud to be partners with Champion Oil."

"I started from the pole position. Sometimes coming from fourth or sixth is ideal here," Swanson explained. Winning the pole is important and getting those three bonus points is important. Two years ago, it proved that every point counts. I've won the pole before and still rode in third or fourth for a while."

"Our engines are really, really good," Brown said. "Charlie Garrett is the best in the business. That allows us to go out and set quick time, which puts us in a good position. We had a good heat race and were the high points driver.

This year, the wingless 600cc micro sprints will get a week of fun. The five-race long showcase will begin on Wednesday, August 1st at the famous Championship Energy Action Track USA in Kutztown, PA. In 2017 a record shattering total 81,600 micros were in attendance.
