The Champion Racing Oil National Open is an event with more than 50 years of history that includes the biggest names in motorsports competing at half-mile Williams Grove Speedway, one of dirt racing's legendary venues. This year's 3-day competition offers a pair of 25-lap, $10,000 to win mains on both Thursday and Friday plus a 40-lap Championship Race paying $50,000 to win on Saturday. In addition, there will be a rain make-up race on the 28th for the Champion Racing Summer National Title.

Front row starter Eddie Marshall led the Super DIRTcar Series event early, but Hearn, who started seventh, shot from fourth to the lead on a lap-19 restart and easily led Marshall, Stewart Friesen, Kenny Tremont Jr. and Keith Flach to the checkered flag.

The Grain Valley, Mo., driver earned $5,000 for his first Capitani Classic win and his 37th 410-win triumph at the historic half-mile oval.

Victory number 899 came last week in a relatively easy run after weeks of struggling, but this time around the action in front of Hearn was wild and crazy and he barely escaped getting caught up in the mayhem.

When Brock Zearfoss first drove Aaron Long's No. 58, he didn't qualify for the World of Outlaws race at Williams Grove Speedway in May. But, it was a much different outcome Friday night as Zearfoss steered the car to victory in a wild 25-lap main event.  His first career series victory held off some of the Outlaws best. 

The team, which ran Champion Racing Oil in their classic racecar, won the 2017 Champion Motor Oil Top Performer Trophy and also won the Expert Class and $50,000 in the competition. In all, their prizes included trophies, cash, and a garage full of Champion Motor Oil.
