Skin tightening can be achieved on both face and body, using two different devices. Ulthera (also known as Ultherapy) is a device which uses focused ultrasound energy to achieve tightening in the lower layers of the skin. It is the only device to meet the FDA criteria for skin tightening. It was originally approved for facial use but has now been extended to cover the neck and chest areas as well. Liposuction is a long established cosmetic surgery procedure to remove excess unwanted fat and to provide body contouring. However, the problem of loose skin can also be addressed at the same time with the Thermo-Lipo procedure.
