Alopecia or hair loss is a chronic dermatology disease in which there is either partial or complete loss of hair from the scalp and other parts of the body. According to the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, approximately 6.8 million people in the United States and 147 million worldwide have developed alopecia at some point of time. A strong family history is one of the main reasons contributing towards pattern baldness or androgenic alopecia in both males and females. As estimated by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), more than 35 million men in the U.S. currently suffer from male pattern baldness. ARTAS robotic hair transplant systems make the hair translation procedure more effective and less painful. The ARTAS robotic hair transplant system is a computer-assisted equipment use to improve the quality of follicle. It also enhances the quality of the most challenging Follicle Extraction Unit (FUE). Various components of an ARTAS robotic hair transplant system are image-guided robotic arm, small dermal punches and a computer interface. The robot is guided by a 3-D imaging software and the cameras. The device removes the hair follicle at a rate of 1,000 per hour. The FUE procedure involves removing hair from the donor region of the scalp and then implanting it into the recipient site. The separation of the follicular units from the donor tissue is a tedious, repetitive and labour intensive process. The FUE process requires great precision to prevent damage to follicular units. The ARTAS robotic hair transplant system has significantly increased the accuracy of the FUE procedure. The ARTAS robotic hair transplant system reduces harvesting time and minimizes any damage to hair follicles with its efficacy and great precision. The ARTAS robotic hair transplant system also improves the chances of graft survival. It is also far more comfortable than the traditional and more invasive hair restoration processes.

Respiratory failure may occur due to a decrease in the amount of arterial oxygen and an increased amount of carbon dioxide in the blood. Anesthesia and intubation by positive pressure ventilation is lifesaving. Veterinary respiratory ventilators are of two types, viz. long-term mechanical ventilation and short-term ventilation. Veterinary respiratory ventilators provide oxygen supplementation and carbon dioxide removal in patients suffering from respiratory failure. Positive pressure ventilation (PPV) through the use of mechanical ventilators has been a therapy in patients suffering from respiratory failure. Major indications for the initiation of positive pressure ventilation (PPV) include hypoxemia refractory to conventional therapy and ventilator failure but it is an invasive and time consuming process, and consumes tremendous resources, emotionally and financially. PPV is usually used in emergency and critical care situations. For long-term ventilation in veterinary medicine, veterinarians prefer ICU ventilators. But patients that come with imminent respiratory failure need to be managed quickly. In such cases, veterinary respiratory ventilators are used. Veterinary respiratory ventilators have a variety of applications in head trauma, obesity, debilitated patients, or during surgery. Anesthetic ventilators can deliver breathing assistance to a patient by pressure cycled-delivers, volume cycled-delivers, and time cycled-breaths in a given specific interval of time. Veterinary respiratory ventilators are used for stabilization of the ABCDs (i.e., airway, breathing, circulation, and dysfunction).

A suture is a medical device that doctors and surgeons use to hold skin, internal organs and tissues, after they have been severed by injury, incision or surgery and also for wound healing. There are different types of sutures for various uses. Sutures can be differentiated into two groups: absorbable and 's attempt to dissolve it and can be removed by a surgeon after a wound has healed. Veterinary Suture Kits are made for small animals. Veterinary Suture Kits usually contain 16 to 25 Pieces i.e. Scissors, Forceps, Scalpel handle and blades, Towel Clamp and Needle Holder. All instruments are surgical grade and used by professionals. The material used in Veterinary Suture Kit can be monofilament or multifilament, based on usage. Veterinary Suture Kits are further classified into synthetic, natural, coted and un-coated. Veterinary Suture Kits should be strong, non-toxic or hypo allergic i.e. they should not react in the body and lead to adverse effect. They should also be flexible so that they can easily penetrate the body. However, they should also be strong enough to not allow fluids to penetrate into the body through them as this can lead to infections and might also affect surgery.

Spinal and bulbar muscular atrophy is also called Kennedy disease. It is a disorder of the nerve cells that control muscle movement. These nerve cells are present in the brainstem. Spinal and bulbar muscular atrophy mainly occurs in males, and is characterized by atrophy that usually arises in adulthood. Spinal and bulbar muscular atrophy results in cramping and leg muscle weakness. The bulbar muscles are also affected, which causes disruptive problems regarding swallowing and speech. Fasciculation's, unusual breast development, and infertility are also observed in this disorder. Spinal bulbar muscular atrophy has been diagnosed in the U.S., Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia. The Japanese population is shown to have a very high occurrence. There is no known cure for spinal bulbar muscular atrophy. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy are usually used to maintain individual skills. Braces and wheel chairs are used for ambulation. For breast reduction physicians prefer surgery.

Osteoporosis testing is a type of procedure that allows physicians/rheumatologists to examine bone density in the outpatient clinic. Osteoporosis is a disease identified by thinning and deterioration of bone tissue with loss of calcification and density. Osteoporosis can increase over time. This can cause the bone to become brittle and increasingly porous. Women and older adults are more at risk of being affected by osteoporosis. Heredity, low body weight, and chronic use of certain medications (steroids) may also risk factors for the disease. Lifting, bending, bumping, sneezing can also cause a bone to break in people affected by osteoporosis. Osteoporosis testing helps to estimate the density of bones and the chances of breaking a bone. Osteoporosis testing check the bone density, physicians usually refer to bone densitometer. Bone loss can occur because of different disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis, hyperparathyroidism, chronic kidney disease, multiple myeloma or drugs such as anti-epileptics and glucocorticoids.

Hyperkalaemia is a disease in which the levels of potassium are higher than normal. Minerals including potassium are essential for the body and are required for the normal functioning of the cells. The kidneys are responsible for the maintenance of potassium content in the body by balancing its intake as well as its excretion. If the intake of potassium is higher than the ability of the kidney to excrete it or if the functioning of the kidney decreases, hyperkalaemia is likely to occur. The right concentrations of sodium and potassium in the body play an essential role in the electric signal function of the myocardium. Hyperkalaemia can be caused due to chronic kidney disease, diabetes and congestive heart failure. Moreover, certain blood pressure-lowering drugs also disturb the body's potassium balance. Abnormal levels of potassium can lead to irregular heartbeats, which can be fatal. Type 2 diabetics patients tend to suffer due to imbalances between extracellular and intracellular fluid compartments as insulin plays an important role in exchanging potassium into intracellular compartments. Medicines are used for the treatment of hyperkalaemia to control the level of potassium. The drug attaches to the surplus amount of potassium present in the large intestine so that it can be excreted from the body in the form of stool. Hyperkalaemia is diagnosed by blood tests, kidney functioning test, glucose monitoring and creatinine blood test. Electrocardiography is also advised to determine abnormal heart rhythms. The choice of hyperkalaemia treatment depends upon its degree and severity.

Kick bucket is a common term used for a medical receptacle. Kick buckets are usually made of stainless steel, and are mounted on wheels. The bucket and the wheel framework is also available in the market separately. It is called a kick bucket due to the concept that the bucket is generally moved around the operating room using the foot. This is possible because the bucket is mounted on wheels. The kick bucket is used during a surgical procedure for the disposal of a number of pliable and disposable articles, such as sponges that are used to absorb blood or fluids during the procedure. At the end of the procedure, a nurse counts the number of sponges in the bucket to ensure that all the sponges are accounted for.

Facial spasm or hemifacial spasm is frequent involuntary contraction of facial muscles on one side of face. In 92% of cases, facial spasm starts with twitching in muscle of left eyelid and further progresses down the face over a period of time. If left untreated it gets severe. The condition mostly occurs in middle aged or elderly men and women. Facial spasm is a neuromuscular disorder. Facial spasm treatment is often started with home remedies along with medications but surgery is recommended if the condition gets worse. In home remedies, consumption of caffeine is kept low to help calm muscles. Consumption of vitamin D, magnesium, chamomile and blueberries is often recommended. Various anti-convulsant or muscle relaxant drugs are consumed to prevent twitching e.g. carbamazepine. These drugs can be very effective in early phase of facial spasm treatment. Botulinum toxin (BTX) injection is often used in facial spasm treatment if condition gets worse. Prevalence of facial spasm is reported more in women than men.
