Critical care health information system is used to manage the data generated in the ICU daily in large quantities. It is very difficult to acquire, synchronize, assimilate, and evaluate patient data because of incompatibilities between monitoring equipment, the absence of standard data formatting, and the industry's proprietary limitations. The intensive care unit is specialized in hospitals that include equipment, medical and nursing staff, monitoring and life support equipment needed to provide continuous care for serious and medically unstable patients. ICT has the potential to address many issues in ICU therapy, manage large volumes of patient and research data, and reduce medical errors.
