Toxicity is the degree to that a chemical substance or a specific mixture of drugs will harm the associated organism. Toxicity will see the result on an entire organism, reminiscent of animal, bacterium, or plant, likewise the result on a substructure of the organism, reminiscent of a cell (cytotoxicity) or associate degree organ reminiscent of the liver (hepatotoxicity). Toxicity is often attributable to dose, form, half-life and alternative parameters of the drug. Since while toxicity is measured at the later stage of the drug development method, however, considering higher rejection rate of the drug in recent years citing high toxicity level and value impact of later stage failure, firms started early toxicity testing and brought measures consequently to scale back the rate in drug discovery.
