Global Automotive Battery Market to Grow at a CAGR of 5.38% by 2019; Finds New Report

LogoThe type of batteries used in automobiles is rechargeable and is usually referred to SLI batteries. Batteries primarily supply electric energy to an automobile and helps in starting the motor and lights, and the ignition systems. Batteries used in automotive are mainly lead-acid batteries. While passenger vehicles are equipped with one battery, heavy duty vehicles, such as trucks and buses, which primarily run on diesel, may have two batteries to complete a 24 volt system. Lead-acid batteries are made up of plates of lead and a separate plate of lead dioxide. These plates are submerged into an electrolyte solution of about 38 percent sulfuric acid and 62 percent of water, which initiates a chemical reaction, eventually resulting into electricity production.

Global Atrial Fibrillation Market to Grow at a CAGR of 11.05% by 2019; Finds New Report

LogoAccording to the NHLBI of the NIH in the US, atrial fibrillation is one of the commonest type of arrhythmia. Atrial fibrillation is similar to another type of arrhythmia of the heart, superventricular tachycardia. The chief difference between these two types of arrhythmia is the consistency of the beats. In superventricular tachycardia, the heart beats are regular and at a very fast pace. Patients with atrial fibrillation experience fast and irregular heartbeats. In patients with atrial fibrillation, electrical signals travel rapidly in an uncontrolled way, which causes convulsion, palpitation or contraction in the atria of the heart. Blood is accumulated inside the atrial chambers, instead of flowing to the ventricular chambers. In this case, blood is not pumped into the ventricles fully. Also, the quantity of blood pumped out of the ventricles to the body is irregular and centered on the arbitrary atrial strokes. This can lead to the formation of blood clot in the atria. Stroke occurs in case the clot moves to the brain, which can cause death of an individual. In atrial fibrillation, the ventricles might beat for 100 to 175 times per minute, which is a stark contrast to the normal heart rate of 60 to 100 beats per minute. Atrial fibrillation is more common in older people and is detected using an ECG reading to find out the abnormalities of the electric signal. Some of the symptoms of atrial fibrillation are rapid and irregular heartbeat, palpitations, dizziness, sweating, chest pain, breathlessness, fatigue, and sometimes loss of consciousness.

Flexible Packaging Market in North America to Grow at a CAGR of 4.95% by 2019; Finds New Report

LogoFlexible packaging is a non-rigid method of packaging. Packaging products are made of flexible or easy-yielding materials that can easily change shape based on the nature of the product being packaged. Flexible packaging materials include plastic, aluminum, and paper. These materials undergo a detailed conversion process such as printing, lamination, coating, and extrusion to develop different types of flexible packaging products such as plastic bags and pouches, lidding films, foil bags, and sachets.

Electronic Stability Control Market in Europe to Grow at a CAGR of 5.70% by Revenue over the Period 2014 - 2019; Finds New Report

LogoElectronic Stability Control forma a vital aspect of automotive active safety system. Active safety systems are the safety systems that senses the condition of the vehicle and prevent the vehicle from crash or minimizes the effect of crash. ESC assists the drivers in avoiding accidents by reducing the danger of skidding or losing control. These system is activated when the driver loses control over the vehicle. It does not work alone and uses other safety systems and devices such as ABS and traction control. It uses sensors to detect the vehicle condition and applies brakes and brings back the vehicle on track. Several studies conducted on ESC systems show that the vehicles that have an ESC system have 25 percent less probability of being involved in a fatal accident. In Europe, a campaign is being run that is supported by authorities such as European Commission and Euro NCAP that encourages buyers to choose an ESC equipped car.
