One Million Degrees (OMD) is pleased to announce the launch of a partnership with the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) and the Airports Going Green Steering Committee to support a cohort of low-income community college students pursuing degrees at City Colleges of Chicago in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields and Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics (TDL).

One Million Degrees (OMD) is thrilled to welcome the first ever class of OMD Harper Scholars. Forty-one low-income, highly motivated Harper College students have been selected to become One Million Degrees Scholars. OMD empowers community college students to excel academically, and ensures that they are well prepared to enter the workforce in diverse and meaningful careers.

On May 15th, 2014, Goldman Sachs hosted 25 One Million Degrees (OMD) Scholars—low-income, highly motivated Chicago-area community college students—as part of their annual Community TeamWorks (CTW) day. CTW is Goldman Sachs’ global volunteer initiative that allows company employees to spend a day volunteering with local nonprofit organizations.

On May 30th, 2014, a who’s who of world-class chefs and guests will mix, mingle, and celebrate the success of One Million Degrees’ (OMD) Scholars at OMD's 7th Annual Food+Wine Tasting to be held at the Bridgeport Art Center.

One Million Degrees (OMD) is thrilled to announce its annual “It’s Who You Know” Speed Networking and Mocktail Reception, hosted by JPMorgan Chase—where industry leaders in healthcare, financial services, education, government, and philanthropy will help OMD Scholars sharpen their networking skills and build personal and professional networks. Volunteers will participate in a high-energy night of speed networking and mingling over "mocktails" with OMD Scholars.

This report outlines the powerful effects of the OMD program model, which helps low-income, highly motivated community college students succeed in school, in work, and in life. The report also details innovative new partnerships between OMD and some of Chicago's leading corporations and philanthropists in support of community college student success.

One Million Degrees (OMD) is pleased to announce the launch of a partnership with Olive-Harvey College to support low-income community college students in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) training program, one of the fastest growing industries in the Chicago area. During this pilot year, OMD will provide comprehensive student support services and financial assistance to eight students enrolled in the Basic Certificate program in SCM, which is designed for individuals interested in employment in the warehousing and distribution industry.

One Million Degrees (OMD) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Enova International, a global leader in online financial services. Enova International will award $25,000 to support five OMD scholars working toward careers in information technology, human resources, accounting, design, project management, and finance.
