Offered between September 21 and September 25th, 2015 in Calgary, Canada, this 3 course program is a resource to help plan for the development of new construction project managers (w/3-5 years of experience) in the areas of Project Management Orientation, Project Controls Overview and Contract Administration, which can be taken individually or bundled for a comprehensive week-long educational experience. Here is a brief synopsis of each course.

Pathfinder is presenting “Cost Containment through Effective Project Management” at the 2014 CIM Convention. This session will be Tuesday March 13th from 2:00 – 4:30 in the Construction to Production block.

Attendees would include those from the electric utility, power transmission and other related power industry sectors including owners, contractors, suppliers and consultants who participate in the engineering and construction of capital projects. Positions would include Project Developers, Project Managers, Construction Managers, Architects/Engineers, Cost/Schedule Engineers and Plant Operations personnel.

Pathfinder, LLC and the Construction Industry Institute (CII) are proud to offer this 5-day, three-module professional development continuing education session for the project management community. This program is a resource to help organizations plan the development of new construction project managers (those who have three to five years of experience). The Professional Development Continuum plan (Project Manager Level) illustrates how CII publications, education modules, online courses, and instructor-led courses taught by CII Registered Education Providers address competency areas across the project life cycle. These project management training sessions will focus on the following areas: project management orientation, project controls overview, contract administration and project management communication.

From a project standpoint, Project Controls is thought of as a singular overall function, but we sometimes fail to recognize its various components. Many Owners delegate responsibility for these components to Contractors because of their direct connection to the “field work”. The Owner's role is to verify that the project status reflects actual project conditions.
