The title “Out to Get You” sounds like it could be a mystery novel, conspiracy story, or one of international intrigue. And in a sense this newly released book contains elements of all of these, except it’s non-fiction and about the current state of affairs in the U.S. Written by educator-author Dr. Ben Carlsen (not to be confused with physician-author Dr. Ben Carson) and released by Palm Springs Publishing, the book begins with the premise that the U.S. government is no longer on anyone's side. Infested with manipulative, self-serving politicians, it has become a wealth transfer system and a socially disruptive machine that will self-destruct without major reform. A government where "tricksters" are constantly finding new ways to enhance their power at the expense of the average citizen. Some of the major political tricks are explored, for example: the Economy, Social and Welfare systems, Immigration, Elections, Terrorism, Crime, Taxes, Education, and of course Healthcare, including the spectacularly problematic “Obamacare.”
