Most motorcycles in the world today use engines that burn gasoline contributing to green house gases and adding air pollution to the surrounding area. Now two scientists in India have conceptually designed a new cleaner motorcycle engine that uses compressed air to a turn a small air turbine generating enough power to run a motorcycle for upto 40 minutes. Their design described in a recent issue of the journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy could be combined with the compressed air cylinder as a replacement for traditional internal combustion engines. In areas where motorcycles are a major source of public transportation such a technology could cut emissions substantially if widely implemented.

Lecture Series in School of Management Sciences Concluded

The week long lecture series in Leading Business School of the country, School of Management Sciences (SMS) concluded recently. In the week long programme intellectuals from different parts of the country and abroad enlightened the students on different aspects of management. The special occasion was the visit of Prof. H. S. Grewal, Dean, School of Business, Clafflin University, USA to initiate the procedure for selection of five students under the academic agreement of SMS with Clafflin University, USA. It is imperative to mention here that in the month of August an academic agreement was signed between SMS and Clafflin University and both institutions agreed to exchange five of their students to get a better insight about academic environment. Other aspects of academic cooperation were also signed.

BBA and BCA Entrance Exam of SMS Will Held on 18 July 2010

Prestigious institute of Varanasi School of Management Sciences is organizing entrance exam for BBA and BCA programme. These two programmes are affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University. SMS which has excelled in Management and Computer education in 15 years of period started these two programmes in 1997. Those who want to take admission; the minimum qualification is 10+2. The test is once again taken by the institute on the basis of entrance exam and personnel interview.Both undergraduate programmes are a step towards professional life. These are three years UG programmes.
