Former General Electric, GE Wind Product Leader, Gerald Curtin Joins Sentient Science to Deliver Asset Answers

LogoSentient Science welcomed Gerald Curtin today as the Director of Asset Answers. Mr. Curtin is a former GE Wind Product Manager and Parts Product Line/Global Remanufacturing leader. Mr. Curtin brings over 10 years of energy experience to Sentient, creating value through O&M cost reduction and new revenue channels. While at GE, Mr. Curtin focused on the development and launch of GE Wind Turbine and GE Solar products including GE's Full Wrap Warranty Service Agreement and PulsePOINT™ condition monitoring. Most recently, he managed a $50MM GE Wind global aftermarket parts business product line. Mr. Curtin has deep knowledge in product development and new product introduction, asset management, remanufacturing and equipment reliability. His focus will be on delivering the most accurate and low cost asset answers in the least amount of time across the Industrial Internet of things.

Sentient Science Names Elias Tavarez Vice President of Global Sales

Mr. Tavarez brings over 25 years of experience in developing and scaling software company revenues, most recently with Dassault Systemes, a software company that specializes in product lifecycle management (PLM). For most of Tavarez's tenure at Dassault Systemes, he focused on core industries for North America -- Aerospace & Defense, Transportation & Mobility (Automotive), and Industrial Equipment. Prior to Dassault, Mr. Tavarez served as a Vice President for the fourth largest software company in the world, SAP, providing end-to-end solutions for financials, manufacturing, logistics and distribution. Tavarez also served as Vice President for i2 Technologies, helping develop i2's $1B Supply Chain Management business in North America.

Sentient Science Reaches a Computational Milestone – 1.5 Million Tests Run in the Past 6 Months with UB’s Center for Computational Research

In the past six months Sentient has run 1,500,000 gearbox component and system computational tests on the University at Buffalo’s Center for Computational Research High Performance Computing Cluster. This infrastructure has allowed Sentient to scale their life extension solutions for wind turbine owners and other industrial systems. This is a significant number of computational tests, compared to traditional methods for O&M planning, including conditional-based maintenance and physical testing of critical components.
