More Than 100 North Texas Kids to Participate in Kidswing-McKinney Golf Tournament Benefiting Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children

The fourth annual KidSwing-McKinney golf tournament benefiting Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children includes a nine-hole, best-ball scramble for children ages 7 to 18. The tournament will include lunch, an awards program and pool party. There is no entry fee to play in the tournament, but children who enter are encouraged to raise $100 for the hospital by asking their family and friends to “sponsor” them. This is the second tournament in the KidSwing summer series.

Dallas White Rock Marathon board members and sponsors will present Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) with a record donation of $560,000 from the 2010 marathon, half marathon and relays (including funds raised through Active.com online giving program). Since 1997, the hospital has been the primary beneficiary of the Dallas White Rock Marathon.

After landing his helicopter on the hospital's rooftop Helipad and being greeted by TSRHC patients, the group will meet up with Frosty the Snowman and several Elves to spread holiday cheer and deliver toys to patients.
