Demand Response Management System (DRMS) refers to a load management tool with significant advantages for reducing the gap between demand and supply of energy. Energy efficiency (EE) and Demand Response (DR) together assist in demand-side management of energy that motivates consumers to alter pattern and volume of electricity consumption and improve grid reliability at the same time. Demand response management system includes both price-based and incentive-based options to encourage consumers to reduce their energy consumption during peak hours.

The relational form of database ruled the information technology or IT sector in the last few decades. The last few years have witnessed a paradigm shift in the database management systems where dedicated servers were eventually replaced with dedicated storage server networks. With the ubiquitous usage of internet, cloud databases such as SimpleDB and Sherpa have gained popularity in the last couple of years. Storage plays an important role in data centers. In a traditional networked data storage, the data is stored in a single dedicated server whereas in cloud databases the respective data is stored within multiple dynamic servers.

Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) is used for a programmed two-way communication between a utility company and a smart utility meter with a dedicated IP address. AMI is considered as an imperative part of any smart grid project. The central purpose of AMI is to provide utility companies with instantaneous data about power consumption at the consumer end. From a consumer's perspective, AMI helps make several decisions regarding energy consumption depending upon energy prices over the period of usage.

Fainting caused by a fall in blood pressure is known as syncope in medical parlance. Its onset is swift and sudden and its duration is short with spontaneous recovery. Syncope is caused primarily by hypotension. Syncope can be classified into three categories, namely reflex, cardiogenic, and orthostatic hypotension. Among them, cardiogenic or cardiovascular type, also referred to as neurological syncope, is the most common. It is also the most severe form requiring immediate medical attention, especially in the elderly. Orthostatic syncope is characterized by hypotension due to upright position and cerebral hypo perfusion without bradychardia. It results from physical exertion, especially from standing in hot or crowded places for long periods. It can also be caused by multisystem atropy, parkinsonism, diabetic neuropathy, hypovolemia, and cardiac insufficiency.
