The cost of moving home has increased by an astonishing 59% over the last decade according to recent research conducted by Post Office Money and the Centre for Economics and Business Research (Cebr). The current cost of moving is now approaching an average of £12,000 which includes the costs for stamp duty, estate agents, surveyor's fees and removals. The costs of removals in particular has increased by a surprising 21%. The study was partly based on data collected by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), and the recent changes to stamp duty made in December 2014 were also taken into account.
