The 2015 Annual Meeting for the American Urological Association (AUA) is quickly approaching, and will be taking place from Friday, May 15, to Tuesday, May 19, 2015. This national conference involves lectures and seminars on cutting-edge breakthroughs in urological techniques, practices, methodologies and philosophies. This year, Dr. Aaron Spitz, the lead practitioner for Orange County Urology Associates and Vasectomy Reversal USA, will be presenting an AUA Consensus Statement on Advanced Practice Providers. He is presenting on behalf of the Public Policy Council along with numerous other workgroup members and AUA staff. This Consensus Statement covers many issues, including the use of telemedicine and the future of urology itself, which faces a potential doctor shortage and very strict laws governing urological practices.
