SHEQ Centre of Excellence Releases Health and Safety Management System Implementation
The Safety, Health, Environment, Quality (SHEQ) Centre of Excellence, a management consulting firm that helps clients with compliance in occupational health and safety and other areas, announced today that it has published the book Health and Safety Management System Implementation- A Practitioners Guide and Approach. Written by Centre of Excellence co-founder, Dr. Dan Gallagher, and published by Health and Safety Publishers, the book is designed to help organisations get certified to the international health and safety risk standard OHSAS18001. The purpose of the book is, as the title describes, to guide employers and their safety advisors who have decided to adopt a health and safety management system. The book can be described as a walk through guide with 17 chapters covering topics from the health and safety policy to management review. There are 10 useful appendices which are a mixture of checklists and notes. The style is easy to read for anyone interested in health and safety management, and is a useful refresher guide and prompter of ideas.
