India is emerging as a leading healthcare provider in Asia. World class healthcare centers like Artemis Hospital, Apollo Hospitals, Fortis Healthcare, etc., are hot spots for medical tourism in India. The country saw an increase of 1,27, 142 foreign patients during 2016, the ministry of State for Tourism and Culture stated recently. This is largely due the country’s ability to provide world-class healthcare expertise at developing world costs. High class medical facilities, along with easy access to visa facilities and cheaper air fares are some of the factors that have contributed to make India’s medical tourism grow sector in a fast pace.
