They can be used as components in new systems or as OEM replacement parts in existing systems. The design and construction of the ATO 12V DC contactor is robust and cost-effective. They can adapt to current switching up to DC 12 volt, and depending on the specific model, can provide up to 1000 A surge capacity and up to 200 A continuous load capacity. Typical applications of our DC contactors include agriculture, construction, vehicle battery systems in heavy trucks, lawns and gardens, and marine equipment. ATO Contactor DC 12VDC/Single Pole 200A is (usually) in a normally open state when it is stationary. When the coil is energized, an electromagnet is created. After the coil is energized, the electromagnetic field pulls the plunger into the coil and forces the contacts to close, thereby completing the load circuit. When the contact is closed, current is allowed to flow into the connected device. When the power to the coil is interrupted, the electromagnet loses electricity, the magnetic field dissipates, the contacts bounce, and the circuit is reopened, increasing the power flowing to the load.
