Sanjay Puri, an MBA in Finance & Investments from George Washington University, started his entrepreneurship journey several years ago.
It all started with a grant from National Institute of Health to develop a system using artificial intelligence techniques to diagnose patients with Alzheimer’s disease. Commonwealth of Virginia awarded him a grant to re-train employees laid off during the telecommunications bust in early nineties. His companies had clients in the Federal Government which included Library of Congress, Federal Reserve Bank, National Archives and Records Administration, U.S. Mint, and the National Labor Relations Board.
In 2004, “the Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council citing “his solid commitment to community involvement” named Puri Entrepreneur of the Year. In 2005, Accenture, another leading provider of enterprise and technology solutions to Government and businesses, nominated Sanjay Puri then Optimos President and CEO for “Small Contractor – Executive of the Year” award.
He recently sold off Optimos and is now expanding in other business opportunities. He recently started Kaloupi Inc, which services the Federal Contractors in United States.
