Scott Mehlman is a talented trading and technology executive with 30 plus years of derivative’s experience. Scott has leveraged his extensive market experience to identify and mitigate trading, credit, operational and regulatory risks, by implementing technological solutions in the trading environment. Scott is an expert in risk mitigation techniques from both a mathematical and theoretical perspective. Major projects led by Mr. Mehlman have resulted in increased revenues, reduced costs and lowered trading, operational and implementation risks. Scott is a proven change and project leader who manages teams through major technology transformation in the financial services
industry.
Scott spent the better part of two decades as the Chief Dealer for Credit Lyonnais Rouse, running it’s 24 hour Metals and Foreign Exchange trading desk. As Chief dealer he traveled extensively marketing the trading desk and making contacts in the trading community. As head of the trading desk, Scott had full responsibility for P+L, staffing and growing the revenue of the trading desk. As the 20th century came to a close, Scott became interested in Technology that could be used to benefit trading desks in general and in e-trading in particular. It was this interest that led to Scott’s transition from Trader to Trader Technologist. Scott spent the next 15 years as Technology Director for Bache Commodities, first under Prudential and then under Jefferies. As this transition continues, Scott is now a passionate purveyor
of transformation through the use of Distributed Ledgers and Blockchain technology
