Olivier Madiba

Olivier is the CEO & founder of Kiro’o Games. Started as a student project back in 2003, Kiroo Games is the 1st professional video game studio in Cameroon since 2013. With his team, Olivier is breaking the walls to make video games in Africa a reality in the last 10 years.
2012-2015: They invented an equity crowdfunding process to raise 350K USD when they were rejected by banks and VC.
2016: They released the 1st ever African-Fantasy A-RPG in the world, Aurion Legacy of The Kori-Odan. Where Olivier was the main writer, game designer and trainer of his self-taught team. He also designed and coded their own engine to make this game, The Astral Engine based on XNA framework.
2016 (again): Olivier has been selected for the YALI program launched by President Barack Obama. He got trained in Business Management & leadership in Darthmouth College.
2018-2019: Madiba and his team worked to recreate their vision and go beyond entertain: They want to built the most inspiring and supporting ecosystem for the next generation in Africa.
2019: Rejected again by VC and classic investors, because of the boldness of their vision, Olivier and his team started another equity fundraising round for 1M USD. So far they have raised alone 530K USD.
2020-2022: Kiroo Games successfully achieved the goal of 100K downloads and proof of monetization in Africa with a conversion rate of almost 7% in some countries. Olivier is also become a partner with his government to democratize their equity crowdfunding technology and corporate culture for others Cameroonian entrepreneurs.
