Ron Caruthers is the nation's leading expert on getting into and paying for colleges-as well as helping students choose their careers and command top money in their fields. He is also famous for helping families that didn't save enough for college get on track for the retirement. Ron graduated from Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, CA in 1985. He graduated with top honors as the sole valedictorian of his class, being ranked number 1 out of 419 students. However, due to poor career planning and lack of finances, he did not immediately go on to college. In fact, 9 years later, that led to him researching the financial aid system, as well as taking a hard look into just how poorly most students were prepared for college and a career. Ron Caruthers started his college planning company (now College Planning, Inc.) in 1995.
