Colorado Rocky Mountain School

Founded in 1953, Colorado Rocky Mountain School is a coeducational boarding and day school for students in grades nine through 12. Colorado Rocky Mountain School s curriculum incorporates college-preparatory programs, English, mathematics, social studies, science, modern language and fine arts. Its fine arts department stresses on production and appreciation of art, and its role in society. All students spend more than 10 days every year in the mountains, deserts and canyons of the Southwest, instilling within students the values of teamwork, environmental sustainability, physical fitness and adventure. Its students participate competitively and recreationally in sports, such as skiing, snowboarding, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, soccer, cross-country, tennis and swimming. It additionally provides guidance and counseling services. Colorado Rocky Mountain School is located in Carbondale, Colo.
