Compassion Center (https://www.guidestar.org/Profile/7308713) was founded by patients, for patients, with a mission for providing patients an affordable resource for healthcare, wellness education and patient advocacy. Today, Compassion Center has served over 20,000 low-income/underserved citizens in Oregon alone, with countless others through education campaigns and outreach services around the country, and globe, respectively. Operating as a management services organization (MSO), Compassion Center strategically reorganizes rural, regional and otherwise struggling healthcare systems to operate more efficiently under the nonprofit model - restoring compassion into the community. In addition to the MSO, Compassion Center also operates a Wellness Education Institute, where medical professionals, researchers and policy advisers can obtain leading edge education, relative to the issues impacting their communities, while collectively developing programs to work in tandem with one another, while supporting their own programs in the process. As a temporary project, Compassion Center is the lead organization behind the Vape Crisis Task Force, a unified platform allowing multiple agencies to collaborate in real time, multiplying efforts through technology and a centralized operations center. Compassion Center has also dedicated a significant portion of the staff to the program, regardless.
