Connect in the Kitchen's mission is to recognize and promote people, companies, businesses and products that are doing innovative and inspiring things in the food & beverage industry. The Taste of Traverse City (Aug 29-31 2014) is Connect in the Kitchen's flagship fundraiser. Sip, Sample and Shop at the annual Taste of Traverse City Festival, which features four unique foodie events over one tasty Labor Day Weekend (Aug. 29-31). The festival is presented by the non-profit organization Connect in the Kitchen, who recognizes and promotes those who are doing innovative and inspiring things with food & beverages. Kicking off the festival on Friday night, guests are invited to take a ‘Grub Crawl’ tour of Downtown Traverse City. On Saturday enjoy culinary samples, chef demos, seminars, wine/beer/spirit tastings, and more (including a ‘dining in the dark’ experience) at the Taste of Traverse City from 12-6pm, revel in the White House Dinner on Saturday night, and savor the decadent Brunch Throwdown on Sunday.
