He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, where he was Chief Surgical Resident and received honors recognition by the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. He continued his professional training at the University Of Oklahoma College Of Medicine in Oklahoma City, where he was Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery, and at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. Breast Reduction 1. Saline Breast Implants/Augmentation Breast augmentation is a method of enlarging the breasts by using breast implants. This procedure is used for patients with small or unequal breasts or patients who have lost breast volume through age, pregnancy or breast- feeding. The implants used for primary breast enhancements are saline or silicone implants. Dr. Farella prefers to use smooth- round saline implants inserted around the nipple and placed under the muscle. 2. Silicone Breast Implants/Augmentation Silicone breast implants, also called cohesive gel implants, offer a natural-feeling alternative with a better aesthetic result than saline implants. Breast Lift A breast-lift, or mastopexy changes the shape of your breast from a teardrop to a cone, repositions the nipple to a higher level, and may reduce the nipple areola to a more pleasing size.
