An additional measure to assume flood damage is computer modeling. These flood types have been developed to evaluate the impact of surface water flooding in a given area. These are also used to virtually test designed structures to see their resistance to floods, without actually building the structures themselves. This program may also map tidal and flood events as well as derive flood depth in a given area.
