Helsinki?based music technology start-up GigsWiz launched a beta version of its analytics platform for the live music industry in June 2010. The free service helps bands, their agents and local promoters make better informed decisions on where bands should arrange concerts and tours. The GigsWiz platform enables bands and artists and their management to gather fan requests through the bands’ and artists’ web properties. GigsWiz then visualizes this data in a business-focused and easy-to-use format. GigsWiz is looking to combine this offering with real?time geolocation specific consumption data from online music services. For the first time bands, agents and promoters have clear statistics on the expected demand for gigs. Bands can serve their fans better and improve their revenue by optimizing gigs and tours to the right cities and venues.
