Guardian Tactics uses a range of curricula that develops competencies in nonverbal threat assessment, de-escalation and deception detection. We have applications for law enforcement, corporate and NPO/NGO entities. LAW ENFORCEMENT GuardianTactics has developed de-escalation approaches that stand apart from law enforcement training, focusing on communication theory in persuasion and compliance. We train on two levels for law enforcement, direct training for officers, and curriculum and pedagogy instruction for department and academy trainers. All curriculum is supported with ongoing training, assessment and certification online. Officers trained in CNV/DET will be able to: Understand context in law enforcement Identify weaknesses of their perceptual process Use the SLIDE rule, a critical decision-making model Engage in Field Persuasion Understand and assess the Seven Zones of Critical Nonverbal Vigilance (CNV) Practice intrinsic and extrinsic De-Escalation Tactics (DET) This course is developed in compliance with current Department of Justice consent decrees and is delivered with specific consideration to local law enforcement cultures and challenges. CORPORATE Corporate training focuses on threat assessment and de-escalation techniques in public interfaces such as travel and hospitality, banking and customer service contexts. Guardian also consults and trains in deception detection for human resource applications. All training content is supported online with assessment and certification tools. Personnel trained in threat assessment, de-escalation and deception detection will be able to: Understand contextual impacts in their corporate environment Identify personal perceptual influences to establish a baseline of situational assessment Determine escalation and risk of threat through identifying nonverbal tells Engage in verbal and non-verbal de-escalation tactics Identify nonverbal tells of deception Corporate training is conducted onsite with applications specific to public interfaces and human resources. NONPROFIT/NGO Our training for nonprofit and NGO organizations examines high-risk, trauma, and vulnerable contexts in healthcare, education, public outreach, disaster and catastrophe response. We train to specific needs and cultural influences in identifying and responding to risk and escalating behaviors. Personnel trained in high-risk assessment will be able to: Understand contextual impacts of their environment Assess risk and threat escalation through verbal and nonverbal cues De-escalate/escape the situation Self-defend and defend other assets as necessary Nonprofit/NGO training is conducted onsite with applications specific to responder environments and services.
