Local 654 has served southern Delaware and Chester Counties since Febuary 23, 1939. Local 654 members are true professionals in the electrical field. The local consists of just under 700 members. We are located at 3729 Chichester Avenue in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania. Our 22,000 square-foot building houses a state of the art training facility for journeyman, journeywomen, and apprentices. Here at Local 654 we believe that education is the key to surviving in this highly competitive technology driven industry. We offer a five year state approved apprenticeship program. This program is accredited with two local colleges towards related degrees. Our apprentice programs are completely self funded by our members. The IBEW spends more than One Hundred Fifty Million dollars annually to provide a cutting edge education for its members. As part of our commitment to the future we provide training in solar-photovoltaic installations.
