ILEAD, as a destination of world-class education in media and management, is built up as a CSR initiative of PS and Srijan groups of Kolkata. In turn, today, ILEAD is venturing into its CSR in knowledge domain. And what better can that be than sharing its domain knowledge with youth around the India, also creating a platform for other scholars/ professionals to interact with the youth? With this objective, ILEAD is embarking upon the ambitious project of organizing ILEAD Take the Lead 2013 in 12 cities of India in the months of May to July. These are daylong Knowledge Events expected to leave imprints on the minds of the participating youth in each city. “Our youth' teams of 6-12 students led by one faculty will troop to each city some 20-30 days ahead of the event, have a partner institute locally, have an international partner (American Centre), and thereafter, organize a day-long event which has been well communicated in advance through campus visits, posters and outdoors, media partners in that city, etc. We will have some budget for each city, to be supplemented with cash and kind sponsorship as may come in.” says Prof Ujjwal K Chowdhury Dean, iLEAD. PROGRAM RUN-DOWN: The day-long program will have five segments: Registration: 9am. Short films of organizing partners: 930a m. (A) Inaugural: Solemn musical-creative start, to be inaugurated by a dignitary of the stature of the Governor or Education Minister of the state, and a couple of media and corporate stalwarts, apart from organizing partners, also awarding three young achievers of that city (under 35 years: achievers in media, entrepreneur, social work, all to be of that city, and at least one or more women). 10 to 1130 a m. To be presided by the ILEAD Chairman Mr. Pradeep Chopra. (B) Technical Session 1: Media, Communication: Careers and Entrepreneurial Opportunities @ 2020: 1145am till 1pm. Panelists to include local editor, TV Channel head, one advertising professional, one PR/Events/Corp Communication professional, one Radio professional surely. To be presided by ILEAD Dean Prof Ujjwal K Chowdhury. PACKED LUNCH (against pre-sold food coupons of Rs.50 for each member of the audience) (C) Technical Session 2: (Post Lunch): The American Centre Session: Entrepreneurship@2020: Why and how of entrepreneurship, and cases etc.: 2pm till 3pm. Panelists from American Centre as required. (D) Technical Session 3: Realty & Infra-structure Management: Careers & Entrepreneurial Opportunities @2020: Why and how of developing realty and infra-structure and taking it to the next level: 315pm till 430pm. Panelists to include at least two major builders, an architect, banking, civil engineering and IT/ ERP professionals, and ILEAD Chairman. The local CREDAI head to preside over the session. (E) Participants' Session: Local youths final contests on debate/quiz, photography etc, with awards/prizes given: 445pm till 6pm. This would be completely managed by student’s team. iLEAD’s goal is to create a vibrant and world-class learning environment where students are exposed to best-in-class infrastructure, an inspiring & encouraging faculty and regular interaction with leaders from various creative fields. iLEAD is also equally focused on providing the much-needed work experience for students through a host of projects and collaborations with corporate, industry, leading media & production houses and practicing professionals.
