Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is a fatal progressive disorder that causes loss of muscle function and independence. John Owen’s Adventure Inc. (JOA) is dedicated to discovering a treatment, improving research and establishing education and awareness programs about DMD for all individuals who are affected by this disease. Jennifer and Tony Dumm created John Owen's Adventure after their son was diagnosed with DMD in 2008. Today John Owen is in a wheelchair, living life to the fullest and waiting for a cure.
