According to Fire and Rescue NSW, 4,422 home fires occur every year in NWS. Although the majority of these fires are due to neglect by a household member, such as when someone goes to sleep with an electric blanket turned on or when a candle is left unattended, some fires occur due to an electrical fault. When one identifies or suspects an electrical fault in the home, an electrician needs to be called in immediately to rectify the situation. One cannot be too careful as it is believed an electrical fault recently caused $300K damage at the Commonwealth Bank in Newstead.
