According to the Western Australian Police, 49,658 total offences against property were reported between July 2013 and October 2013 in Western Australia. Crimes reported include burglary (both dwelling and non-dwelling), arson, motor vehicle theft, theft and damage against property. "Home owners and small businesses need to be concerned about these statistics as they only take into account those offences which were reported to the police," Mr Michael H Ashby of Alert and Secure points out.
