South By South West 2014 in Austin, Texas came and went like most festivals do; during it’s wake, there were performances from Justin Bieber, and even Twista who hasn’t been seen in a while. There was a lot of publicity, and it was even rumored a corner store had to lock down when Jay-Z and Beyonce entered into it’s store.

At a sit down with the producer and director of the independent docudrama titled TKO: An Human Experiment, they discuss their reason for the title of the film. It’s a film that was not only filmed in Austin, Texas but also in China. In fact, many clips of recognizable landmarks can be found in the film such as the University of Texas tower, the capital building of Austin downtown, and even the gigantic poster that is displayed on the Austin police department building.

All the way from Austin, Texas, TKO: An Human Experiment, is about two human experiment subjects known as “experimentees”. Over time, they gain special abilities due to their experiments. The film contains action and adventure, and totally different from the coming of age genre the independent sector of Austin usually produces.
