However, according to specialists in the field, the problem comes for homeowners who are looking to sell older brick homes. Says an industry specialist Mike Bruno of Bruno's Tuckpointing, "Even though brick is very strong, it is still susceptible to weathering, and cracking. That means that even new homes may require maintenance to ensure the overall integrity of the home. The longer you wait, the worse the damage to your stone or brick will become."
