Champion Oil, a recognized leader in racing lubricants, congratulates Brian Brown for his recent win at Knoxville Raceway. The Grain Valley, Mo., driver passed Josh Schneiderman just past the halfway point of Saturday’s 410 sprint car feature and held on for his 46th career win.

"With the rain knocking out the races we had planned to enter, we decided to go pavement racing at I-44 Speedway on Saturday. We picked right up where we left off there a few weeks ago and got the win in the 100 lapper," Jackson Jr. said. "The car was really good, and I found my way to the lead around lap 60. Hopefully Mother Nature will play nice this weekend, so that we can go after a couple more dirt wins."

A healthy pack of Proform Rumble racers rolled into Atlanta Dragway, but only one could leave victorious. Running sharp thanks to a fresh transmission in the tunnel, David Rickey ran close to his 11.25 index throughout eliminations to put his 2002 Camaro in the finals against Nicholas Massengale's 2001 Camaro SS. Both racers had impressive reaction times when they needed them in eliminations, but it was Massengale who took the win with an 11.03 on an 11.00 index.

Crockett joined the ASCS Sooner Region on Saturday at Tri-State Speedway, where he advanced from fourth to third place in a heat race. That earned him a spot into the feature redraw and he pulled the No. 8 to line up on the outside of the fourth row for the A Main.

Brown dove to the inside of race-long leader Justin Henderson coming to halfway in the 20-lap 410 sprint car feature, completed the pass and drove off from there, dominating the remainder of the Pella Motors/Kraig Ford/Town Crier Season Opener.

The two-day event held August 31st and September 1st pays $10,000 for the win. The American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) National Tour and the ASCS Warrior Region will headline the Memorial Day week-end classic.

Starks has primarily competed at Knoxville Raceway only during the Knoxville Nationals as he's visited the track five out of the last seven years. His career-best result is a third-place run in 2017 during a 360 Knoxville Nationals preliminary night. Starks' best-ever effort in a 410 race is an 13th-place finish, which also occurred in 2017.

One of the few times in 2019 that Herrera will be on track after swapping roles to Crew Chief for Harli White; that role is one of the main reasons Johnny was in competition. "Creek was a race for me to apply the setups we've been working on for her and be able to feel what she's feeling," explained Johnny.

"It was an efficient night," Brown said. "We got back to qualifying well, which put us on the front row of a heat race. We won that to make the dash. That is what sets you up to have a successful night. We felt like we were pretty good. We got into heavy traffic in the middle of the feature. We were right there with the leaders."
