The CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme is a mandatory system which has been set up to improve and enhance energy efficiency and subsequently reduce CO2 emissions within large public and private sector organizations. It has been estimated that these enterprises are responsible for around 10% of the UK’s CO2 emissions. The scheme features a range of reputational, behavioral and financial drivers which aim to encourage organizations to develop energy management strategies that promote a better understanding of energy usage.

Following a review on electronic waste policies it now apparent that the European Union is tightening regulations on what is allowed with disposal of electronic waste. For quite some time there has been quite a vibrant debate as to whether WEEE should be aligned with packaging regulations and create percentage targets for business and businesses and companies to adhere to.
