According to the Center for Disease control over 50% of people living with HIV in the United States will be over 50 years of age by the year 2015. This aging population that has been exposed to a deadly virus and toxic medications in the past has a lot more comorbidities thanHIV-negative people of the same age.

All enrolled veterans are eligible for some standard and enhanced health benefits. However, due to certain limitations, the VA health system cannot provide full care or even provide prescriptions due to which some veterans are limited to specific treatments only that might exclude quality of life medications. Veterans have to bear the expenses from their own savings for such medications. While there are some who may not qualify or fall under a specific category to receive complete medical care and are left clueless.
