Neilson Holidays, the active holiday experts, has joined the Use Your Head initiative to encourage skiers and snowboarders to wear a helmet. To mark joining the campaign, Neilson Holidays is offering savings of 10%-25% on Neilson Ski & Snowboard, Sailing or Beachclub holidays booked in 2012, including during peak season. Insurance provider Essential Travel launched Use Your Head in 2010 when 40% of its ski and snowboard customers admitted they would not be wearing a helmet despite 75% claiming to have suffered an accident serious enough to warrant medical assistance. Mountain sports kit retailer Ellis Brigham, expert ski equipment provider Facewest, Tail-Wags helmet covers and the brain injury association Headway subsequently joined the campaign.
