The course which The Department for Transport has introduced means that drunk drivers in England and Wales are now required to not only learn about the dangers of drunk driving but also learn about the dangers of driving while under the influence of drugs. This has come about after the realisation that a whopping fifth of convicted drug drivers have previously been banned for drunk driving.

Due to a high number of people seeking the brand new 66 number plate, new car sales in September rose significantly, with The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) revealing that during September a colossal 469,969 new cars were registered. According to a recent RAC survey, the number of drivers using mobile phones whilst driving is on the rise. The said survey says 31% of motorists admitted to using a handheld phone whilst behind the wheel, and when compared to the 8% who admitted to doing this in 2014, it seems the rise is more drastic than many thought. The survey data states that 14% of drivers said that they have taken a video or photograph while driving and that a further 19% has either posted on social media or sent a text message.

DVLA have recently warned the public about scams which have been taking place, asking people to provide credit card numbers and other personal details.
