Louisville, Kentucky Pop/Soul Duo IamIs to Launch Third Full-Length Album Go Supernovae! July 2nd
IamIs, pronounced "eye-am-is", is a two piece, rock/pop band from Louisville, KY. Formed in 2000, the band was created to explore and express ideas of existentialism. Currently recording artists on the Gubbey Record label, they excitedly await the release of their 3rd full-length album, Go Supernovae! on July 2nd, 2016. The songs of Go Supernove! are inspired by reflection upon friendships and relationships at a personal and cultural level. The album title is an invitation for each of us to dare to be our authentic selves and to shine at our highest potential. As a very special celebratory gesture, this album release includes a cassette, download card and limited edition postcard set. Each postcard represents a song on the album and includes original artwork, lyrics and song chord structure. Tracks not to be missed are Hustlin, Lead Hands, and Unsteady Ground. We proudly release "Go Supernovae!" on July 2nd, 2016 with a release show at Kaiju, 9pm with very special guests The Cut Family Foundation and Adventure.

Black Birds of Paradise Deliver Lounge Metal Album, "Terror Bird," to Bible Belt
Black Birds of Paradise, a neo-psychedelic lounge metal band from Louisville, KY, break their migratory pattern and flock together on Saturday, May 14th 2016 to release their second album, "Terror Bird," into the world. Attention Louisville, Kentucky Based Bands and Musical Acts: Gubbey Records Is Now Accepting Music Submissions for Their Annual Cassette Compilation, "Head Cleaner-a Loui
Gubbey Records is now taking music submissions for the annual cassette compilation, "Head Cleaner- A Louisville Music Compilation". Last year's edition featured 106 diverse Louisville music acts on three cassettes and an additional download volume with a playing time that boasted over 6 1/2 hours. We want to meet or exceed that turnout for the 2015 edition. Louisville bands/musical acts please send your music, all it takes is a song and the song info. "The purpose of this compilation is to document and take a yearly snapshot of the Louisville music community as a whole. This compilation is open to ALL styles of music from the Louisville, Kentucky area" says label representative Dave Rucinski. The deadline for submitting a tune is September 1st.
