According to statistics published by the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, 69 percent of adults between the ages of 35 and 44 have lost at least one of their permanent teeth. 26 percent of adults have lost every single permanent tooth by the time they reach the age of 74. Because tooth loss can impact both oral health and self-esteem, these statistics are concerning to say the least.

According to the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, more than 30 million Americans require dentures, as they are missing all teeth in either one or both jaws. Dental implants offer an alternative to crowns, bridges and dentures for individuals, and the success rate seen with implants is 98 percent, as reported in scientific literature.
