Many companies start out their internet marketing efforts with a search engine optimization campaign, but with Google's tendency to change its algorithm without warning, this can be like building a house on a combination of sand and ocean waves. It's no wonder that many soon turn to what seems like it should be more stable: pay-per-click (PPC) advertising. Unfortunately, this can be just as uncertain as SEO if it isn't done properly.
